Surfski rentals for the duration of the program are available for a $75 flat rate

Experience/Prerequisite: Learn to Surfski Lesson or equivalent
Description:

The Ambleside Tide Rip is an exciting local spot to challenge your Surfski skills! Current opposing wind direction creates a dynamic ocean environment where many surfable waves develop. This course has 3 evening skill-building sessions based out of Cates Park, prior to the final session at the Ambleside Tide Rip. 

You will practice, learn and discuss many skills including:

  • Forward Paddling Power
  • Quick Acceleration
  • Balance and Bracing
  • Solo Remounts
  • Assisted Remounts
  • Wave Theory
  • Wave positioning, speed direction changes
  • Downwind technique
  • Tide Rip Dynamics
  • Group Travel/Safety Protocols
